On August of last year, I made my way to Cambodia as part of my two month back packing in the South East Asia. Of course, Angkor Watt was one of my top tourist destinations to see! As much as I would love to tell you more about this magical experience upon seeing these truly majestic temples through my naked eyes, I’d rather show you some photos I took. Scroll down below. Enjoy! ♡

Catching the sunrise shouldn’t be missed here. I’ve seen postcards and heaps of travelers and tourist who flock here just to catch the sunrise. Unfortunately, on that morning I went to see, it was cloudy. Though, I went through to see all the temples.

One important thing you should know, wearing a proper attire or descent clothes is a must here. Visiting temples is a fun thing to do but remember to show respect by following the rules. Slippers are allowed for both men and women, however, for ladies, please avoid skirts or shorts or sleeveless. In some temples where going up is desired and needed, long sleeves or scarfs are necessity.

There’s going to be  a lot of walking so bring your own towel and water. Cambodia is known to be one of the hottest countries in Asia.

As much as possible if you have enough time, go to the temples that only has a few tourist to enjoy the view and feel the magic. There’s a lot of them so you won’t run out. And get ready your camera!

Most of these temples are like hundred of years built, imagine building and constructing these with your own sweat and blood? That’s totally jaw dropping!

When you’re inside here, you’ll feel an indescribable feeling of magic. It’s like you’ve been back in the old times. So just don’t rush watching and feel the vibe of magic.

I was completely struck upon seeing all of them. Notice, there are some monkeys and please be a responsible tourist, don’t give them foods and be careful of your stuff because they can snatch it away from you! One last thing, don’t hurt them.

There are at least thousands of tourist in the temples of Cambodia. Depending on your ticket, you can go on a one day to three day tour. Ticket price per day as far as I can remember was $20. Wise tip. If you can ride a bike, rent one and go explore it on your own. As for my case, I hired a tuktok driver.

So, that’s all I got for Angkor Watt Cambodia.

Truly, these photos will absolutely make your jaw drop. I hope you enjoy! Most of them are raw and unedited. 🙂
